You want to do your laundry cheaply and eco-friendly! Try the nuts soap to wash your clothes!

There is a simple alternative to chemical washing powders and detergents: Nut soap. They can be used for the washing of your white or coloured clothes and even for the delicate clothes. It is equally good for people with a very sensitive or allergy-prone skin.

But where does this magical nut come from? It comes from the Soapnut tree that grows mostly in India and Nepal. The shell of this fruit contains an ingredient called “saponine”, a natural soap that, with the contact of water, dissolves and releases a powerful soap.

These soapods can be re-used, it’s eco-friendly AND economic ! 1kg of nuts (+/-£12) enables a family of four to do 1 year of washing! Interesting, isn’t it?

Let’s see where you can buy it :

    Amazon.co.uk, Nigelsecostore, Goodnessdirect.co.uk

    Worldwide bug at Google!

By Billy the Ant the 2 February 2009

Maybe you noticed it? On Saturday between 4:30 pm and 5:30 pm, if you tried to do online shopping, like me, via the world leader of search engines, probably just gave up.  I was shopping for a new umbrella, but all I kept getting was a message that read “This site may harm your computer.”  I couldn’t get onto any websites that Google’s search engine returned!  Was it hacking? An attack?  It turns out, it was a bug simply due to human error!
Embedded in its search engine, Google has a “blacklist” of sites considered potentially dangerous.  This list is updated manually.  As the list was begin updated, it seems that the “/” present in all url links was added to the list, so that access to all websites was blocked.
What a blunder! But it seems impact was limited. Some sites did note a net decrease in traffic, but nothing catastrophic. And Google immediately issued a public apology on behalf of the entire company.  Don’t scare us like that again Google!  We need you!
