The Nintendo DSi XL has arrived!

On the 5th March 2010 the new addition to the Nintendo DS family becomes available: the Nintendo DSi XL! And we are all very excited here at letsbuyit.co.uk .This DS comes with some new features and accessories but most notably a 93% bigger screen which makes game play easier and more accurate! The bigger screen is also intended to offer a more social gaming experience, enabling multiple viewing angles and more inviting to other people around allowing them to join in with the gaming experience more easily.

The slightly enlarged console also makes it easier to hold and grip, and a with a gloss finish in the top side but a matt finish in the bottom it makes it easy to grip on a surface like a table during game play.

Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America executive vice president of sales and marketing said “This product really fills a gap between portable play and social experiences that up until now is only available on consoles.”

The DSi XL still comes with the old style stylus but to make it easier to use it also comes with a fatter pen-sized stylus 40mm longer than regular one which is easier to hold, manipulate, and probably harder to lose!

You have two colours to choose from: wine red and dark brown, but I am sure there will be more available in the future!

Let us know what you think about the new DSi XL, do you think these are improvements? Or just make it bigger and bulkier?

    Ant Nation at Letsbuyit.co.uk

    Ant Nation at Letsbuyit.co.uk

Ant Nation brings the beloved childhood pastime spent with a magnifying glass and an ant farm to the portable video console, so no more worries about the glass breaking and your ants escaping!

Ant Nation allows you to train little ants (no doubt some relations of mine) to be soldiers and survivors against all odds! You can make them stronger by tapping them with the stylus and torching them with a match to build heat resistance. You are also able to design and build the colony to withstand natural disasters, in the end these little guys will be able to withstand anything!

    Launch of new Apple creation

By Billy the Ant the 22 January 2010

    Jan

What everyone seems to be talking about recently is the launch of Apple’s latest creation. So I have decided to look into it a bit myself. Apple is to launch its new product, a tablet computer, on January 27th in San Francisco. The much awaited product does not even have a confirmed name yet, although rumours include ‘iSlate’,’ iTablet’,’ iPad’ and ‘iPage’. Fingers are, however, pointing to the name ‘iSlate’ after Apple bought the domain name iSlate.com last year.

    What will it look like?

This new Apple tablet computer would look similar to an oversized iPhone, with an enlarged 10-inch screen. It seems it will be perfect for people who often work on the move as it will be smaller than a laptop, fitting nicely into a hand bag or briefcase, but big enough to work and watch films on, surf the web and read on it.

Instead of incorporating a keyboard, like a laptop, it will have a touch sensitive screen like on the iPhone, but if you don’t want to use your fingers, there is talk of a stylus also accompanying it.

It seems the user interface will also be completely different, and not like anything we have seen before on the iPhone or iPod, or even like the MacOS X.

    Apple Tablet

    Apple Tablet

    What will it do?

The new Apple tablet will not only have a strikingly different look but also have some breakthrough new applications. You will be able to read ebooks, surf the internet, play music and even games (there are reports that EA has signed up to work with the Apple Tablet).
Rumours also suggest that there will be some breakthrough programs like facial recognition through a built-in camera, and an iTunes-like store where you can download newspapers to read on screen. This may mean that you could have audio embedded in newspaper music reviews, or be able to actually watch people being interviewed instead of it being reported. Here, take a look at it on YouTube!

    How much will it cost?

The Apple tablet is reckoned to cost around $1000 when it is first launched. It could be a while until it reaches UK stores, but it is thought that Orange, O2 and Vodafone all want to be the first to stock the impatiently awaited device.

What an exciting new product to enter the market! I am eagerly awaiting Apple’s launch to see how it compares to other tablet computers and light weight laptops that are already on the market.

Olsenhaus Shoes an Ethical Fashion Brand!

    Sep

Trends come and go but one trend I hope will last forever is the interest in ethical products. Recently there has been a huge wave of ethical clothing lines… but most of them have lacked in the fashion department .  I just discovered a great shoe brand that is both ethical AND rich in style, Olsenhaus.

Olsenhaus is a brand from Manhattan and is designed by a former employee of Nine West, Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein named Elizabeth Olsen. Her shoes are 100% vegan (Yes, I said vegan). That means that there is no leather, silk, wool or fur used in these shoes! And even better, they are made as locally as possible by people who are paid a proper wage. So there’s nothing to feel guilty about!

Prices for Olsenhaus shoes start at 170 pounds.

    Zeo Personal Sleep Coach

How many times have found it almost impossible to wake up in the morning?  Maybe its because you are not getting the quality sleep that your body needs. With the Zeo Personal Sleep Coach you can discover your sleeping patterns and learn how to get a more restful sleep.

    Source: trendsupdates.com

    Source: trendsupdates.com

The Zeo Personal Sleep Coach is a new educational tool and motivational programme that helps you to understand how you are sleeping and behaviours that may be helping or hindering your sleep.

The Zeo Personal Sleep Coach consists of three parts: the headband, the bedside display and myZeo website.

The soft, lightweight headband uses SoftWave sensor technology to track your sleep patterns and then wirelessly sends the information to the bedside display.

The bedside display tracks your sleep information such as: the time it takes you to fall asleep, total amount of REM sleep, time in wake and times woken, your ZQ (a score which gauges the quantity, quality and depth of your sleep) and how long you were actually sleeping. It also includes an SD memory card that enables you to easily transfer your sleep data to your web-based sleep account (the myZeo website).

At the myZeo website, the sleep tools, your sleep journal and the personal coaching section allow you to learn the associations between your sleeping habits and how they impact your lifestyle.

Now it is especially important to get a good night’s sleep as your holidays are dwindling away and school is about to start back up.
