Thursday, May 17th, 2007We recently mentionned TripBase, a new travel website providing results based on user preferences and profile ; we also told you LetsBuyIt were going to be such a personalized shopping portal, based on your user preferences.
Well, in this domain, we have to recognize that Amazon does a VERY good job in customizing its website according to its users profile. Indeed, it directly shows you a personalized home page, with very customized items:
- Category of products you’ve been buying before
- Category of products you’ve been visiting before
- Products similar to what you’ve bought before
They even tell you, on a product page, what people ultimately buy after viewing this product:
