As we have already mentioned, each month we organize a workshop party in our office where we invite a group of people to enjoy refreshments and test the LetsBuyIt site.

This week, 7 people kindly participated in our monthly workshop. Each person provided their impressions about their first visit to our site. We received dozens of pages of feedback, giving our team the opportunity to observe our site in the eyes of the user, something that is not so simple when you pass each day working on the site!

Their feedback provided red flags for pages with complex navigation and discouraging loading times. In addition, the testers offered perspectives about their LetsBuyIt experiences including suggestions for new features that should be available on the site.

We organised last Thursday our first ‘Workshop’ in our Parisian office.
A workshop? We invited 6 people, with very different Internet habits, to test our site in sneak preview! It was actually one of the first time we invited external people to use our new website, so a big moment of truth for us!
Goal of this event: see if the brand new navigation standard we have developed is understandable and ‘adoptable’ by everyone. Then, define all the critical points, study the use and reflex of the users – who had no clue about the website and its services before coming – in front of this new website: what are the points to improve in terms of ergonomics, features, explanations, etc.
It’s been a more than interesting exercise for all of us, and we already started a lot of changes on our site to offer the best user experience to our future members as soon as we launch our beta version (which is now coming very soon!).
With such a success, we decided to repeat this experience as often as possible, and create the ‘First Wednesday’s workshop, which will happen every first Wednesday’s of the month. If you are interested in participating, just let us know!
